Custom speakers serve a similar purpose to traditional cabinet speakers (i.e. floor-standing, bookshelf, centre and satellite speakers), but they are designed and engineered for specific purposes and placements.

Custom speakers are designed to be discreet, often with hidden cabinets and paintable grilles. They also address specific challenges such as heat and moisture to ensure the best sound quality in challenging environments.

A good custom speaker is made of materials that offer high power handling, smooth audio response and extended bandwidth (high and low frequencies). The goal is to achieve low resonance and low distortion, along with tweeters which can be aimed towards the listener’s position.
