uControl Apps for Your Devices
In a nutshell: uControl supports Apple iOS only
It's really important to note that
Android is no longer supported.
While we've been able to offer uControl Android apps in the past, the app developers at HDA
have decided to focus all resources on one platform, to deliver the best possible experience.
Globally, over 85% of uControl users are iOS-based, so iOS is designated the sole platform for the uControl app for HDA devices released after 2021.
The old Android app is no longer available from the Play Store. Existing apps already downloaded will inevitably become inoperable as the Android platform is updated.
Workaround: A fully browser-based version of uControl works on any OS (including Android). This is ideal for standalone applications, but any stack (2 or more uControl devices) ideally needs to be configured on Apple iOS first, then day-to-day control can be done on the web interface.
Tip: The web interface requires a static IP address, so make sure you've got the appropriate network configuration and access in corporate spaces.
