Origin Acoustics

Each product and every process at Origin Acoustics has its roots in a Riverside, California speaker store. From the meticulous obsession with perfection to the love of great sound, we have led the industry with innovation and experience since the very beginning.

In 1976 Origin Acoustics Engineers Ken Humphries and Ed Haase began experimenting. Their goal, to turn the existing structure of your home into a resonance chamber in order to hide unsightly speakers. After extensive research, the first architectural speaker was born.

Ken, Ed, and their team went on to innovate and design OEM speakers for Bang & Olufsen, JBL, Polk Audio and many other audio companies.

The Origin Advantage.

Incredible sound quality and artistic design set the loudspeakers at Origin apart. Having created the first modern in-wall speaker in 1976, the team at Origin has spent decades perfecting the concept. Today New Zealand customers are enjoying the result of this effort as Origin Acoustics apply our most advanced technologies and materials to recreate music with unparalleled fidelity.

The ability to fit larger speakers in smaller spaces and then pivot the speaker to focus the sound at the listening area are only two of the many innovations our engineers have pioneered. All of this happens behind a discreet grille that blends into your décor and delivers incredible sonic performance that appears to originate from thin air. Fill your life with the finest music and be confident in the fact that your speakers will continue to do so for years to come.
