BluOS upgrade kit
NAD Electronics, MDC Modules
Meet the BluOS Upgrade Kit – a small device that easily connects to the USB input of your BluOS Ready NAD component, equipped with a VM130, VM300 or VM310 MDC Module, and lets you stream all your music with one easy-to-use app. Once set up and connected to your Wi-Fi network, you can simply use the BluOS Controller app for smartphone, tablet, and desktop to stream and control lossless music, or group with other BluOS enabled devices like wireless speakers, and add high-resolution sound to any room in your home.

Works with:
Easy setup: plug it into the USB input on your MDC-equipped NAD component, connect it to your network, and start streaming
Stream lossless music, up to 24-bit/192kHz, in bit-perfect quality wirelessly to any BluOS Enabled home theatre system
Use your mobile device, tablet, or laptop as a remote—simply open the BluOS app and have the whole music experience at your fingertips
Sync large hi-res music collections for on-demand streaming, or select from the list of supported music services for access to millions of songs.
Seamless integration with popular home automation systems including Crestron, Control4, URC, RTI, and Push.
The free BluOS Controller app is available for download from the respective app stores for Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod), Android devices, Kindle Fire and Windows or macOS computers.
Once connected, this device will appear as a BluOS player - where it can ‘receive’ a stream of music. It can also be grouped with other players in your system - for example, streaming an internet music service such as Tidal to two or more zones in your home at the same time.
Please note however, that the other inputs/sources on this device cannot be ‘sent’ to BluOS for transmission to other players - for example, sound from a TV or CD player connected to this device cannot be sent to other Bluesound players.
Please also note that NAD models with additional Zone outputs (for example, Zone 2) cannot play digital sources such as BluOS through these additional Zone outputs. BluOS will only be compatible with the main zone output (Zone 1).
NAD's BluOS kit lets you add intuitive, high-fidelity network and internet music streaming to NAD's VM130, VM300 or VM310 add-on 4K video modules.
This module adds compatibility with Bluesound's BluOS wireless music system. That means you can integrate your compatible NAD component into a wireless multi-room music system. Stream songs on your main system, or group multiple Bluesound speakers throughout your home.
Operate your system via Wi-Fi® using the BluOS Controller app with your Apple® or Android® device, or your Windows® or Mac® computer. It gives you flexible control over your entire music system. Play the same song everywhere or stream different music to different zones at the same time. You can even use your Apple Watch to control your system.
BluOS can send 24-bit high-res music to any room in your home, without any loss of sound quality. Play music from your personal library or from internet streaming services including TIDAL, Spotify®, and Rhapsody®, among others.
