Bluesound, makers of hi-fidelity multi-room streamers and speakers, announced today that the POWERNODE EDGE, compact wireless music streaming amplifier has been awarded the EISA 2023-2024 compact streaming amplifier award. Expert Imaging and Sound Awards, also known as EISA, is an association of 60 specialty electronics magazines and websites from 29 countries. EISA member magazines choose award winners after they review and test thousands of products. Award winners are considered the best in their category over the year.

Board members of EISA in their official statement say, “Thanks to its impressively sleek, wall- mountable chassis, the POWERNODE EDGE can be installed practically anywhere, and the compact form factor is complemented by wide ranging functionality. Controlled via Bluesound’s intuitive BluOS app, this sleek ‘just add speakers’ amplifier can access streaming services, Internet radio and music files from a network or USB storage, while connections including HDMI eARC and two-way Bluetooth add even more to its versatility. Its sound, delivered by onboard amplifications and with hi-res audio support, packs a punch.” They go on to conclude, “Use the POWERNODE EDGE as a discrete amp in a standalone set-up or combine with other BluOS devices to form a multi-room music system.”

The EISA awards are currently in their 41st year, with their membership including leading audio journalists from Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Award results are widely regarded as one of the highest honours in the hi-fi industry. To win an EISA award, products must undergo a robust, rigorous and exhaustive judging process in two stages. After intensive testing and audition at the facilities of EISA member magazines, each journalist submits a shortlist of the best products in each awards category. The second stage takes place at EISA’s annual General Meeting, where a democratic voting process establishes a consensus of excellence and determines the winning products.
