NAD Electronics, the highly regarded manufacturer of high-performance audio/video components, announced today that the C 3050 Stereophonic Amplifier, has won the 2023-2024 EISA Integrated Amplifier award. Expert Imaging and Sound Awards, known as EISA, is an association of 60 specialty electronics magazines and websites from 29 countries. EISA member magazines choose award winners after they review and test thousands of products. Award winners are considered the best in their category over the year.

EISA editors of hi-fi audio publications praise the NAD C 3050 for its future-proofing technology, spectacular sound quality, superior streaming options, and multi-room capability – all within a retro- inspired amplifier.

From the outside, the C 3050 pays homage to NAD’s earliest designs with its faithfully executed vintage styling, but in all other respects this is a thoroughly modern integrated amp with a do-it-all ethos”, says the 2023-2024 EISA Awards Board in an official statement. The statement goes on to say, “Plug in NAD’s optional BluOS-D card and the functionality grows to include superior streaming options (including app control and multi-room capability), plus Dirac room calibration. And while the forward-thinking technology delivered impressive sound quality, you can feast your eyes on the C 3050’s large VU meters. What’s that about having your cake and eating it?

According to Cas Oostvogel, NAD’s Product Manager, “50 years of history and innovation truly meets the future of hi-fi through our C 3050 amplifier. The vintage-inspired walnut finish, dual VU meters, and push button input selectors brings back old-school components that music lovers once loved, while also bringing them back to when they first discovered great sounding audio.” He goes on to say, “The C 3050 delivers incredible sound capabilities, and thanks to NAD’s MDC2 future-proofing technology, C 3050 owners can continue to add new leading-edge capabilities like BluOS’s high- resolution multi-room streaming and Dirac Live room correction all within our amplifier.”

The EISA awards are currently in their 41st year, with their membership including leading audio journals from Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific. Award results are widely regarded as one of the highest honours in the hi-fi industry. To win an EISA award, products must undergo a robust, rigorous and exhaustive judging process in two stages. After intensive testing and audition at the facilities of EISA member magazines, each journalist submits a shortlist of the best products in each awards category. The second stage takes place at EISA’s annual General Meeting, where a democratic voting process establishes a consensus of excellence and determines the winning products.
